Your City. Your Voice. is a one day, youth-oriented conference that will show youth creative ways to use their voices to make change in their communities and city. Positioned approximately 10 days before Ottawa’s municipal election, Your City. Your Voice. offers a relevant and applicable setting for discussions on civic engagement and participation.

The conference, hosted by youth ages 15-23, aims to encourage and inspire non-voting members of society to become engaged in the processes and decisions made at City Hall, and to find their own unique way of using their skills to have a voice and be heard.

After discussing the issues surrounding the election, students will proceed to a workshop, in two parts, that will focus on their experiences and offer creative ways to become engaged in civic and community issues.
